Pinon Hall and Innovation Center

Complete interior gut and remodel of existing 40,525 square foot, 3 story dormitory building. The first floor east wing was converted from dorm rooms to an open “garage” concept Innovation Center for entrepreneurial use by students, faculty, and invited guests. The Innovation Center was outfitted with all new IT systems, movable white boards, conference room, and group lab type furniture as well as high performance lighting and HVAC systems. The remainder of the dormitory areas were completely refurbished including the demolition of existing restroom/shower rooms; relocation and construction of new restrooms and shower rooms; construction of new lounge and group study areas; and replacement of all HVAC, lighting, and life safety systems. This entire project was completed in just under 11 weeks and ahead of schedule to allow the owner to occupy the building for fall semester 2015.
